Privacy policy

EduJobs places trained teachers in preschools and schools near where they live. Doing that means holding personal information about teachers, and this page says exactly what is held, who can see it, and how to have it removed. It is written to describe the system as built, not as a general statement of intent.
EduJobs is operated by Montessori & Nursery Teacher Training Academy (MNTTA), 731, 1st Main, C-Block, AECS Layout, Kundalahalli, Bengaluru 560037, Karnataka, India. Questions about this policy, or a request about your own data, go to hello@eduhire.growthxautomation.com.
What we collect, and why
If you are a teacher
Most of this you enter yourself when you create a profile. Some of it may already be held because you registered with MNTTA for placements and your details were transferred to EduJobs — in which case you were told so by email before being asked to sign in.
- Name, phone number and email address. Your email identifies your account. Your phone number is how an admin reaches you about a job, usually on WhatsApp.
- Date of birth. Used to confirm you are 18 or over. It is not used to match you to roles and is not shown to schools.
- Gender. Collected on the profile form and not currently used for anything — not for matching, not on your generated CV, and not shown to schools. We are reviewing whether to keep asking for it.
- Where you live — coordinates and an area name, and optionally a full address. This is the core of the service: matching is a distance calculation before it is anything else. See how your location is shown below, because it is not shown the way you might expect.
- Your training and experience — where you trained, your institute if it was not MNTTA, qualifications, subjects, languages, years of experience, and the hours you prefer.
- Your pay, once you are placed. The salary or stipend agreed with the school, which is recorded with your placement and can affect what EduJobs charges the school. If you tell us what you are actually paid, we keep that as well and check it against the school’s figure; where the two disagree, a person looks into it. When an internship ends, we ask you and the school separately whether you are staying on. The school is not shown the pay you report, or your answer. We do not ask what you would like to be paid.
- A résumé and a profile photo, if you upload them. Both are optional.
- Your applications and their history — which jobs you applied to and what happened to each.
- Messages you send through the platform about an application.
Notes our staff keep
Admins can record private notes on a teacher record — for example that a phone call was not answered, or a detail from an interview. These are not shown to you and not shown to schools. You can ask what notes exist about you, and we will tell you.
Automatically
- Sign-in records kept by our authentication provider, including when you last signed in.
- An audit record of changes — who changed what, and when. This is how we can answer a question about your record months later, and it is deliberately not editable.
- Error reports, if something breaks. These may include the page you were on and your account identifier.
We do not use advertising cookies and we do not track you across other websites. The only cookies set are the ones that keep you signed in.
How your location is shown
Your exact coordinates are visible only to EduJobs administrators. Everyone else — including every map and every list in the app — sees a point shifted away from your real one, within roughly 1 km, together with a circle indicating that uncertainty.
That shifted point is fixed for your account rather than generated fresh each time. This is deliberate: a point that moved on every page load could be averaged over several views to recover the real one. Distances shown to others are rounded for the same reason.
Schools are never shown your exact address, including after you are placed.
Who can see your information
- You — everything on your profile, at any time, on your profile page.
- EduJobs administrators — your full record, including exact location and contact details. This is the job: an admin is the person putting you forward to a school.
- Schools — in two stages, and the first one does not name you.
For its own open roles, a school sees a ranked list of teachers who match: your area, how long you have been teaching, your subjects and languages, when you are available, and how far away you are. Not your name, and not your contact details. You appear there as a reference such as “Candidate K3P”.
Your name is shown to that school only once you have agreed to be considered by it — either by applying to the role yourself, or by accepting an invitation from it. Your phone number and email address are shown later still, once a placement with that school has been recorded. Agreeing with one school does not name you to another.
Schools cannot search for a named teacher, and cannot see teachers outside the radius of one of their own open roles.
- Nobody else. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.
Public job pages on this site contain no teacher information of any kind. That is enforced by automated tests that run before every change is deployed.
Companies that process data for us
Running the service needs a small number of providers. Each one only receives what its job requires.
- Supabase — the database, your sign-in, and storage of résumés and photos. Hosted in Mumbai, India.
- Vercel — hosting for the website itself.
- Resend — sending the emails this service produces, such as an update on an application. Receives your email address and the contents of that message.
- Google — sign-in with a Google account, if you choose it, and converting a typed address into coordinates.
- Google Gemini — used only to summarise a message thread when an admin asks for a summary. It is not used to make decisions about you, and no summary is generated automatically.
- Sentry — error reporting, when enabled.
Résumés and photos are held in private storage. They are never publicly reachable: a link to one is created on demand and expires after five minutes.
Automated decisions
Matching produces a ranked list of candidates. Which teachers appear at all is decided by distance, whether your profile is active, the stage you teach and the kind of engagement you want; the order they appear in also reflects your subjects and your years of experience. Your qualifications, your pay, your age and your gender are not used. It is a suggestion to an administrator, not a decision. A person decides who is put forward to a school, every time.
How long we keep it
Your profile is kept while your account exists.
There is no self-service delete button yet. What you can do yourself is pause your profile, at any time, from your profile page — that stops schools seeing you and stops you being matched to anything, and it takes effect immediately. If you want your data deleted rather than paused, email us and an administrator will do it by hand and confirm when it is done. We are building a proper deletion process; until it exists, this is the honest description of what happens.
Two things outlast that, for reasons worth stating plainly. Records of placements are kept because they carry a commercial and tax obligation. Audit records of changes are kept because a log that can be edited afterwards is not an audit log — but they record the fact of a change, not the contents of your profile.
Your rights
Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you may ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct anything wrong, delete your data, or withdraw consent to our holding it. You may also nominate someone to exercise these rights if you cannot.
Most of this you can do yourself: your profile page shows everything we hold and lets you change it, and you can pause your profile at any time so schools stop seeing it. For anything else, email hello@eduhire.growthxautomation.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Our grievance officer for privacy complaints is Suyash Agrawal, reachable at the same address. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Children
EduJobs is for adults seeking or offering employment. We do not knowingly hold information about anyone under 18. If you believe we have, tell us and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information in a way that affects you, we will email you rather than only changing this page. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
